The Alaskan Brown Bear has a good sense of smell and if climate conditions are ideal, the bear can detect odors more than a mile away.The Alaskan Brown Bear is one of the largest living carnivores, some which can weigh over 1600 pounds but it is not as ferocious as a Grizzly Bear. At full running speed, an Alaskan Brown Bear can reach a pace of 35 kilometers per hour, leaving their prey very little chance of escaping these massive animals.Alaskan Brown Bears are in the same species as the Grizzly Bear but they are larger as they have a food intake which consists of rich seafood.
